The Rev. Mother Angie Wisk-Nowell, MBA, STL
Assistant Minister,
Parish of St. Joseph of Arimathea
Calgary, Alberta

Angie has been fascinated by spirituality throughout her life. She has explored various forms of Christianity, including Evangelical, Mysticism, and Gnosticism. Angie is inspired by Female Mystics writers from through the centuries ranging from Julian of Norwich to the modern Mystic Bernadette Roberts. Her main esoteric interests lie in Traditional Astrology and Tarot.

In addition to the enjoyable aspects of spiritual life, Angie and her spouse are cult survivors. From this challenging experience, she is passionate about exploring what aspects of spiritual life can lead to community cultic dynamics. Additionally, she is continuously exploring ways to embrace a full spiritual life within a community while maintaining each individual’s dignity and autonomy.

Angie has been a member of the Parish of St. Joseph of Arimathea since 2017. She achieved ordination to the Diaconate in September 2020 and to the Priesthood in 2023.

Angie holds a B.A. in History and an MBA and lives in Calgary, Alberta, with her husband and two children.
