The Apostolic Johannite Church is pleased to announce the re-emergence of Holy Sophia Narthex in Melbourne, Australia.
After a few years as a Mission of St Uriel’s in Sydney, the Johannite community in Melbourne has formed a new narthex under the leadership of Sr. Rebecca Dunsdon. Melbourne is a centre of art, culture and several lively spiritual currents and Holy Sophia Narthex aims to position itself at the intersection of all these influences, providing a home, hearth and artist’s studio for gnostics, esoteric Christians and mystics in the greater Melbourne area.
The Narthex is currently in the process of crafting their web home, which will be announced here when it goes online. In the meantime, there is a new Facebook group for the Narthex, where information about upcoming events can be found here
