Friends,
Conclave 2024 has come to a close – and though we had some schedule chaos due to folks having difficulties and challenges land unexpectedly on their plates – Conclave was a resounding success. Being able to see and hear the chatter both from inside the Conclave space and time- and beyond it- is a joy. There were many moments of deep learning, deep connection, and plenty of humour.
The Apostolic Johannite Church would like to extend its thanks to our Conclave guest speakers – Dr. Justin Sledge, Dr. Siobhan Houston and Dr. Sasha Chaitow. A wonderful set of talks that really underscored our theme of community, while enriching our learning and perspectives. I’ve been participating in Conclave organization for some time, and I know that each of these talks are destined to become favourites for folks who come to share their time and attention with us.
The Apostolic Johannite Church would also like to thank our clergy and seminarians who contributed great thought provoking education, demonstrating not only the quality and consideration of their work and vocations, but that connection and heart that makes many call the AJC their spiritual home.
Lastly- my thanks the Rev. Jonathan Stewart, who helped plan and pull on all the levers and ropes to make it all come together. He isn’t just great in front of the Talk Gnosis camera, he’s also a force of nature behind the scenes.
I look forward to seeing many of you next year, for Conclave 2025 in-person, to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Apostolic Johannite Church. It is our plan to also make it online-accessible for folks who cannot be there in person.
