    Hi there,

I’m not the teacher on this course, but I noticed your question and I wanted to offer you a little support.

I think you’re doing an amazing job of balancing your needs for authenticity with your kids needs for stability.

Perhaps the whole thing isn’t as black and white as it seems. Maybe, at least with your older kids, you could start letting them know your spirituality is a little odd or not that mainstream and talk about some aspects that are easy to communicate. Then add some more details as they get a little older, if they’re curious.

I think setting yourself a goal of (I’m being silly here, but go with me) holding a family meeting and crying “I’m a Gnostic and God is not on our side!” is probably too much all in one go, both for you and your kids.

If you really want to give yourself space to be more honest and vulnerable, maybe you can experiment with some friends first.

That’s what I’ve got I think. Don’t make it all-or-nothing. Take some baby steps. Don’t feel you have to tell your kids everything at once, but maybe there’s some little things you could start to pass on to them.

Go gently. Be kind to yourself.

Ah hah. The certificate is set up to use the First Name and Last Name on your user profile. If your name isn’t showing up, it’s probably because you didn’t set up a First and Last name.

Bill, I’ve just edited your profile to add yours, so if you reload your certificate, it should now work. If you’d like to change it yourself, just use the Edit My Profile link from the toolbar.

You’re not the only person who’s found it difficult to track down. I’m going to rethink the layout as part of the next platform revision.

    hey Francis,

Welcome to the program and thanks for your bug report. We don’t manually review posts, but your reply somehow got flagged as spam (it didn’t look spammy to me, but I’m no AI).

I’m not sure why I have a spam checker turned on, but I’ll take a look at that.

In the meantime, I unspammed your post.

    Thanks again!

I think you’ll have to let me know you want your account deleted and I’ll do it. I don’t think you can do it yourself.

    [I’ve now deleted Mark]

A few people have found this tricky, so I’ve made it a bit simpler.

You scroll to the bottom of the course unit and click on the Mark Complete button – which was pretty nondescript. I’ve just changed the formatting on it to make it a bit more obvious:

    I hope that helps.

    Garrrrhhhh! Darn plugins!

I’ve disabled the offending plugin and replaced it with a little code instead.

    Thanks for the headsup, @sandrews
