Many of you may have at this point heard of the tragic loss of life at the Masjid al-Ḥarām (Grand Mosque) in Mecca, one of the holiest sites in Islam, as the Muslim community there prepared for the annual Hajj. I ask that you pray for the many dead, the many wounded, and all those who are impacted by these unfortunate events. We at the Apostolic Johannite Church stand together with our Muslim brothers and sisters and pray that our God will comfort those left behind, heal those who have been injured, and welcome the dead into His loving embrace.
May the God of Isaac, the God of Abraham, extend His hand of blessing over all of those whose lives have been touched by the tragedy at the Grand Mosque. And let us pray for the fulfilment of the promises of the scripture: “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
Amen, and amen of amen, and amen of amen of amen.
