The Apostolic Johannite Church notes with sadness the passing of a giant in the Orthodox Church- His Holiness Alexy II, Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia.
His Holiness was widely recognized for his efforts and dedication on behalf of the Orthodox faithful in Russia, and his great efforts towards leading the Russian Orthodox Church out of the era of state control and oppression. The accomplishments of His Holiness are wide and well known, particularly that of his work towards bringing the Russian Orthodox Church Outside of Russia into a state of reunion with the Russian Orthodox Church.
Our prayers at this time go out to the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church, who are charged with the great and sacred task of electing his successor, and we pray for them the guidance of the Holy Spirit, recognizing the significance of the Patriarch of Moscow in Christian communities both locally and abroad.
The Patriarch of the Apostolic Johannite Church
The Apostolic Johannite Church is saddened to hear the news of the passing of Father Michael Leavitt of the Ecclesia Gnostica.
Father Michael was well known and well regarded within the Ecclesia Gnostica and with many clergy and laity from other Gnostic Churches, and the Gnosis has truly lost a dedicated servant and priest. As the scripture reminds us- ‘the workers are few’, and Gnosticism was made better by his contributions, dedication, and love for the path.
We hope that you will include Father Michael and his family in your devotions, prayers and thoughts.
Memory Eternal!
The Apostolic Johannite Church is pleased to announce the visit of The Patriarch of the Apostolic Johannite Church to Victoria, British Columbia

The Apostolic Johannite Church would like to extend congratulations to the state of Connecticut on the legalization of same-sex marriages.
Following in the footsteps of California and Massachusetts- it is our hope that other states and governments will look upon the example of Connecticut and support the love and dignity of same-sex couples in their own jurisdictions.
The Patriarch of the Apostolic Johannite Church
The Apostolic Johannite Church is saddened to hear the news of the passing of Fr. Michael Lafferty of the Ecclesia Gnostica. Our hearts, prayers and condolences go out to his family and friends and the church he called home- the Ecclesia Gnostica.
Modern Gnosticism is made up of small but dedicated communities, and the loss of a dedicated servant of the Gnosis and a defender of the dignity of all peoples, is one felt by all.
Memory Eternal!
