His Eminence The Most Reverend IOHANNES IV Sovereign Pontiff and Patriarch of the Apostolic Johannite Church Primate of the Ecclesia Gnostica Joanita of North America Originally consecrated on December 22nd, 2002 as Bishop of Alberta, The Most Rev. Mar Iohannes IV has served as Patriarch and Primate of the Apostolic Johannite Church since June 23rd, 2003. Complementary to his work with the Apostolic Johannite Church, Mar Iohannes IV currently serves as President of the North American College of Gnostic Bishops He is an accomplished student of Esotericism and Ritual, having attained Master of the Temple in the Ordo Sacrae Flammae and previously serving as Grand Master, as well as being a Free Initiator in the Martinist tradition and a Master Mason among others. In addition to these undertakings, Mar Iohannes IV is also an avid reader of history, and enjoys writing and playing music on several instruments when time allows.
